One of those days today.
One of the few days when there really is no point trying to explain to anyone not already converted why cycling is the best choice.
Hitting the panic button when I realise that there was a flood across the road due to leaves blocking the drains, and just missing a bow wave from a passing car.
Trying to maintain a bit of dignity when sat on the train, gradually creating a pool of water around me, and when I stand up to leave I realise the seat is wet – and the passengers opposite give me a look that is half disapproval and half pity.
And having a bit of tolerance for those who decided to take another form of transport today. Because there was no problem getting a parking spot today!
Riding in foul weather makes you mentally tough. Perhaps not for every day, but great sometimes (especially when you are ready for it, not caught by surprise).
