Last week I was a guest speaker at a cycling industry event called the World Cycling Forum.

It was very much a flying visit in the week before our big Velo-city conference in the Netherlands so there was not much time for sightseeing.

However the event certainly had a “wow” moment when I discovered the Alfandanga Conference Centre – a converted warehouse on the banks of the River Duoro, right in the heart of the old city. There are worse places for your next business meeting!
